Tennis After School

The Orange County Community Tennis Association (OCCTA) is a volunteer based, nonprofit organization, whose mission is to promote tennis through education, programs and events for the enjoyment of all people in the California tennis communityTennis After School is part of a nationwide effort by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to expand interest in the great sport of tennis. The Orange County Community Tennis Association (OCCTA) is proud to offer this exciting program to elementary and middle schools in Orange County.

Philosophy

To provide a convenient, safe, low-cost way for children to gain exposure to tennis

Goals

  • Have fun with friends, play games, learn basic skills and a sport they can play plus develop a healthy active habit for a lifetime
  • To be able to rally the ball consistently with the forehand and backhand strokes
  • Learn basic serve and volley skills
  • Develop confidence in the ability to play tennis
