Tennis After School Facts

The Orange County Community Tennis Association (OCCTA) is a volunteer based, nonprofit organization, whose mission is to promote tennis through education, programs and events for the enjoyment of all people in the California tennis community

  • Directly after school, on the school grounds, after school facility or park
  • Professional tennis instructors
  • Using the USTA QuickStart Tennis teaching format
  • Pee-wee nets (mini teaching courts), tennis balls and rackets
  • Each child is assigned to an age appropriate team
  • Every team of up to 8 children has their own coach
  • $60 to register which includes a T-shirt
  • Child can register for FREE when a parent volunteers to help teach the program
  • The program is set up to start approximately 5 minutes after school lets out
  • Youth rackets are also available for purchase at $15 each (a $20.00+ value) or may be borrowed
  • Instructors follow a detailed class curriculum for the 5-weeks
  • Develop team-building skills
